When I decided to create an Internet resource dedicated to northern legends that formed the basis of world religions, the question of the project name arose. I decided that the name should be short and unique. It seemed to me that it should be compound, and the second part was LAND (earth). The first part of the word was a generalized concept.

When analyzing world religious concepts, one can notice clear or barely noticeable northern traces. It seems to me that this is a consequence of the fact that the precursors of religious concepts contained an indication that gods live in the Far North.

In the Rigveda, all the characters are compared to cows. The head of the pantheon, Agni, is a bull, the main strongman, Indra, is a bull, all the gods are called bulls, the main villain, Vritra, is an ox, the dawns are cows. Even inanimate phenomena, such as the sun's rays and reindeer, are called cows. The Proto-Indo-European word for cow is related to the root GO(W). In English, the first letter has become a voiceless consonant.
